Banana Fruit Bag

The fruit bag helps to protect the developing fruit from damage by acting as a barrier against strong sun (which can cause sunscald), strong winds, heavy rain, and insects. It also provides a barrier from our beloved native wildlife and can potentially reduce fruit damage such as bruising and markings when the banana bunch is being handled and during harvesting.
The bag can create a slightly warmer microclimate around the developing fruit, which can assist in the fruit ripening process and potentially reduce the time to harvest.
