Terms of Product Pick-up & Load Security
- Vehicle Loading & Load Security (Mandatory)
- Driver Responsibility : In accordance with Australian transport regulations and the Chain of Responsibility, the driver of the vehicle is legally responsible for the safety and security of the load.
- Securing the Load : Customers are required to provide their own straps, ropes, or netting. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to strap and tie down all products—including heavy stone pavers, bathtubs, and nursery stock—before leaving the premises.
- Staff Assistance : While Walhalla staff may assist with the mechanical or manual loading of items into your vehicle, they are not permitted to secure, strap, or tie down the load for you.
- Vehicle Capacity
- Please ensure your vehicle or trailer has the appropriate load-carrying capacity (GVM) for the items purchased. Walhalla reserves the right to refuse loading if a vehicle appears overloaded or unsafe for road transport.
- Health & Safety on Site
- Please follow all staff directions while in the loading area.
- Be mindful of forklifts and other machinery operating on-site.
- Ensure children and pets remain inside your vehicle during the loading process.
- Product Inspection
- We encourage customers to inspect all items, especially (large, bulky stone products) at the time of pick-up. Once a product has been loaded and the vehicle has left our premises, Walhalla cannot be held liable for transit damage or securing-related breakages.
Liability Release :
Walhalla accepts no responsibility for any damage to the vehicle, the products, or any third-party property, nor for any injuries resulting from improperly secured loads.
